Funny enough they do not offer a secure download site for this but considering this is the same website as the old 12.1 client we opted to give it a shot. I'm posting a workaround (albeit insecure) which worked for me and may work for you too if you're willing to take a security risk.Įssentially, we've removed the broken HSTS SSL redirect that is happening and we're accessing the software directly from their download site. I've seen a lot of folks having issues over the last year or so trying to watch DirecTV on their Mac machines but were running into an HSTS certificate errors when trying to install the DirectTV player through the website.
